Can I Win The Lottery?
72Yes, it's true. You can win the lottery. There is a way in which any
Tom, Dick or Harry who has consistently lost money in the lottery, and
probably have never won even a single time, can come up ahead with the
system which I will detail in the paragraphs to follow. Every single
person who follows my system will stop losing money in the lottery, but
will enjoy a windfall, every single time.
First, let's go through
some basics. There are many different types of lotteries, all with
many different types of rules, payouts and whatnot. It really doesn't
matter with my system but just so we have an example to work with, let's
talk about a lottery with a one in a million chance of winning. The
cost of a ticket is $1, and the payout is one million dollars.
For
a start, do you know how big a number one million really is?
Just
to get an idea, switch on the flasher or turning indicator in your
car. Assuming that it flashes once a second, do you know that it will
take a little more than 11 and a half days for it to flash one million
times?
If that doesn't sound like a lot of flashes, imagine the
light flashing non-stop for 11 and a half days. Imagine it flashing
throughout all your daily activities, while you are reading this and even while you sleep, and when
you wake up, it is still flashing. Take a second and picture it in
your mind. Now, out of all those flashes, pick just one lucky flash.
And if you were to ask your friend to do the same and he picks exactly
the same flash that you did, you would not believe it, would you? You
would probably insist that it's some kind of trick. You would sooner
believe that he has some kind of psychic powers than believe that he
picked the same flash that you did from pure blind luck, won't you?
Well, that's what one chance in a million is.
Or, take your
lottery ticket. Imagine a stack of one million lottery tickets. How
high do you think such a stack will be? A storey or 2 storeys high
perhaps? Some of you might even say 5 or 10 storeys high. Well, the
Burj Khalifa in Dubai is currently the tallest building in the world,
standing at 828m. Our stack of lottery tickets is even taller than
that, standing at 1000m (assuming that 10 lottery tickets will be 1 mm
think). Imagine a lucky ticket in that stack, and you just happen to
pick that one lucky ticket. Pretty tall odds, huh? Well, you guessed
it, that's one chance in a million.
Look at it another way.
Remember the game show, "Deal Or No Deal"? Contestants have to pick a
case from 25 cases with varying dollar values up to $1,000,000. How
many times did a contestant manage to pick the million dollar case? Not
many, and we are talking about just one chance in 25 here.
I can
go on, but I think that we have definitely established that one chance
in a million is an extremely remote possibility indeed. Even if you were to
buy a lottery ticket everyday for the rest of your life, there is a very
good chance that you will not strike it rich.
We have also heard
of systems that will practically guarantee that you will win a big
prize if you try it over a period of time. I have heard of a rather widespread
story about a maths professor who won the lottery three times in a row,
got shot in the foot and is now selling his system in the form of an
ebook for $96.83. But you'd better hurry. He's only selling 1000
copies of his ebook, after which the ebook will be erased forever.
For
the sceptics among us, there is a couple of things to note. The domain
name was registered in May 2009, and the webpage is also copyrighted in
2009, so the ebook probably began selling sometime in 2009. It is sold
through Clickbank, so there are many affiliates selling it. At the
date of this writing, 20 June 2010, there are still 134 copies left, so
only 866 copies have been sold. You would have thought it would sell
like hotcakes, with all 1000 copies gone within the first few days.
Anyway, if you do come across this website, make it a point to check how
many more copies they have sold since this writing.
Okay, we now
know that it is probably easier to get struck by lightning than it is
to strike the lottery. In fact, according to the National Lightning
Safety Institute, a person residing in the USA has a 1 in 280,000 of
being struck by lightning. But I digress.
And, given that
casinos, lottery companies and other types of gambling organizations are
alive and well, it is safe to assume that any systems that claim to
predict the unpredictable, are big on promises but rather lacking in
results.
But I claim to have a system that everybody is
guaranteed not to lose at the lottery but will generate a windfall each and every time. Well, let's assume that you buy 10 lottery tickets per week
at $1 per lottery ticket. In a month, you spend approximately $40 on
lottery tickets, which comes to $480 per year.
And now for my
super dupper, guaranteed, sure win system, which will be explained in the
very next paragraph. The system is free, and you can share it with
anybody, use it in any way that you see fit, and even claim it as your
own if you want to. If you should suffer any losses when using the
system, I will refund every single cent that you paid for the system.
My
system can be simply explained in a few sentences. Take the $10 a week
that you were going to spend on lottery tickets, and put it in the
bank. At the end of the year, instead of $480 worth of worthless
lottery tickets, you will have a windfall of $480 of cold hard cash.
Well,
what did you expect? Each and every draw of the lottery is mutually
exclusive, in other words, it stands by itself. There is no way that
past results can, in any way, predict or influence a future result. I
mean, if it was in any way possible to predict the lottery result, I am
very sure that all the lottery companies will go out of business very
fast. And if by some freak chance I manage to discover an anomaly or a
predictable pattern, I certainly will not sell the secret in an ebook
for any price.
