How To Get Followers On Twitter

It is not difficult to get followers on Twitter. In fact, among all the social networking sites, Twitter is probably one of the easiest sites to get friends, or followers, as Twitter calls it.
The first time you need to do is to put your house in order first. You can take the following steps to make sure that you are "attractive" to a Twitterer.
Don't Use The Default Icon, Use Your Photo
The first thing you need to do is to replace the default icon with your photo. If you are uncomfortable using your photo, put in a graphic or something else that represents you or your business. Definitely do not leave the icon as is.
Your Biography
Don't leave it blank, or put in something like "I'm trying out Twitter." or "I'm a high school student." Remember that you are trying to get people to follow you, that is, listen to what you have to say. So, be interesting. The best rule of thumb is, after writing your biography, would you follow yourself?
Tweet A Little
I get a lot of follower requests from Twitters who have not twittered at all, or they have just one tweet, which is the product that they are selling. I never follow those back.
Tweet a little first before trying to get more followers. And don't just tweet about only your offers. Try to have a little variety in your twittering. You can promote your offers, but do also engage in conversation with other Twitters and tell us something about what you were doing then. You can also RT or retweet other Twitter's links or comments that you found interesting.
Conclusion
Once you have done all that, then you are ready to follow other Twitterers and stand a good chance of them becoming your followers.

You should give it a try. You get a chance to interact with people with vastly different backgrounds, which, even in other social networks, you would never get a chance to. :)

I like to use the twitter friend generator to follow and unfollow people on twitter. works great and haven't had any problems as of yet.
There actually a easier way to get followers.Its called tweetergetter. Its really cool just follow the link and read it.I tried and it worked for me. If you don't trust it then just change ur password later. But you should really give this a try. It gave me like 12 new followers in a few mins.http://tweetergetter.com/josh_peters

vasare - Twitter is a social networking site and many people will follow back anybody who follows them, regardless of whether they are interested. Why? Because they want more followers and many will unfollow if they do not follow back.
